Potsdam Kapteyn series datalink service

In the context of Kapteyn's plan to obtain a photometric standard, in Potsdam more than 400 photographic plates of several Selected Areas, Special Areas, and Kapteyn-Pritchard areas were obtained between 1910 and 1933, both as direct images and with an object prism. This service provides FITS images of the science area of the plates as well as images of the entire plates, including previous markings.

DEC An interval (space-separated pair of numbers), where the limits have to be between 10.376044002293701 and 10.99051296245134

 deg

The latitude coordinate

RA An interval (space-separated pair of numbers), where the limits have to be between 294.956719629463 and 295.5821796630068

 deg

The longitude coordinate

SCALE A value between 2 and 32

Factor to scale the image down before transporting (this does not currently take into account cutout parameters).

POS

Region to (approximately) cut out, as Circle, Region, or Polygon

POLYGON A shape on the sky (space-separated numbers in degrees). Maximum extent: 294.9589125128 10.3770098693 294.9567196295 10.9905129625 295.582179663 10.9898770495 295.5817651855 10.3760440023

 deg

A polygon (as a flattened array of ra, dec pairs) that should be covered by the cutout.

CIRCLE A shape on the sky (space-separated numbers in degrees). Maximum extent: 295.2714543074 10.6831261742 0.4359388982

 deg

A circle (as a flattened array of ra, dec, radius) that should be covered by the cutout.

PIXEL_1 An interval (space-separated pair of numbers), where the limits have to be between 1 and 8200

Pixel coordinate along axis 1

PIXEL_2 An interval (space-separated pair of numbers), where the limits have to be between 1 and 8200

Pixel coordinate along axis 2
